I've been asked by a lot of people what "graphic design" is or "What do you do?".
Before now, I would always grab something or point to something and say, "that & that & that & that" because the truth is, graphic design is everywhere.
Since I can't do that on a website, I decided to go to the inter-webs and found the answer was there all along.
[noun] /grafik dēzīn/
the art or profession of using design elements (such as typography and images) to convey information or create an effect
In other words, I make things look pretty.
The other question I get is — what is my "focus" or "specialty" and that's really hard to answer. I love being creative AND efficient AND deciphering dilemmas. I would never be able to pick one. Honestly, graphic design allows me to be all of that.
I am not an "artist" who can look at a blank canvas and go to work. I'm the kind that takes all the the pieces of the design puzzle and puts it together to tell a story. I'm a creative problem solver with a flair for logistics.
So if you have something that's complicated, simple – or somewhere in between – I would love to help you with all of it. My goal is to make your life easier.
